STEEL
ERECTORS - No more plumb bobs in the wind. Place the PLS laser on
a column and check plumb using your tape measure to read the down and
up PLS reference points.
GLAZIERS
- Layout curtain walls, store fronts, shower doors and more. Place
the PLS laser on the outside edge of a threshold. The down reference point
will be plumb to the up reference point and therefore should be on the
outside edge of the top of your door or window frame.
DRYWALL
FRAMERS - Layout and install track for commercial or residential projects.
Using the PLS5 and your target accessories, project 90 degree angles in
a fraction of the time. No more 3-4-5.
When installing top and bottom track or plates,
place the PLS laser directly over the outside edge of your bottom track
or plate. The PLS top reference point will mark where the outside edge
of your top track or plate should be.
ELECTRICIANS
- How would you layout canned lights in a church? You have a vaulted
ceiling and 50 lights to install. With a PLS laser and a little thought
you can reduce your layout time dramatically. Using your floor plans,
use the PLS reference points down and up to determine where each light
is to be installed. How long would it take you to layout 50 lights in
a vaulted ceiling with two men and a plumb bob?
RESIDENTIAL
HOME BUILDER - Setting up foundations on a slope is always a challenge.
Put the PLS5 on the outside corner of your layout and pull reference points
foreword and to the side of the PLS5. Layout of interior walls, ceilings,
stairways, cabinetry, and more can be done quickly and accurately with
the PLS laser. Use the PLS laser and your tape measure to establish plumb
and level reference virtually anywhere on the job site.
HVAC
MECHANICAL - Conditions to establish heating and ventilation duct
work can be difficult in either commercial or residential projects. For
commercial HVAC the PLS will speed vertical and level layout without dealing
with a plumb bob in the wind. Manipulate plumb, level, and square reference
anywhere on the job site regardless of obstacles or weather conditions.
These are just a few broad examples of the
value of point to point alignment information. Check existing conditions
before you submit your bid estimate, or start your work. Save time everyday
in layout and installation. Compare the advantages of using a PLS laser
to the traditional methods you now employ.
