In addition to the installation instructions these steps are provided.

First attach the B-1 bracket to the right side and the back of the black blade guard. Position the Laserkerf as high as possible on the the bracket.

The picture below shows the saw in the 45 degree bevel position. The laser is just above the chip deflection ring.

Saw is at a 45 degree angle.
