AC or DC POWERED
The Laserkerf comes in either AC(110V) or DC(3v, 2AA) models.
The AC units plug in to an
outlet via a built in transformer on a 6' cord. The unit should be turned
on when starting to work in the shop and turned off when all work is completed
for the day. The laser is rated at 5000hrs. If you worked in your shop
12hrs per week that would be 416weeks or 8 years.
The DC model is powered by 2AA batteries
and is very handy for battery operated saws or when moving from site to
site when outlets are at a premium. Depending on battery strength the
laser should work from 40 to 80 hours per set of batteries.
